From time to time, everyone experiences personal or work-related problems. Sometimes, these problems can overwhelm our normal coping strategies. Support from a trained peer or a referral to a mental health professional may prove helpful.

The AFA EAP helps members, their families and partners deal with concerns on and off the job that affect them. The AFA EAP is strongly committed to the health, safety and well-being of all of its members.

Mission

The Association of Flight Attendants Employee Assistance Program (AFA EAP) is a confidential resource available to the members, their families and their partners to assist with personal, as well a work-related concerns. AFA EAP provides three distinct but interrelated services, including:

1) Assessment, support and resource referral

2) Advancement of professional standards through conflict resolution

3) Response to critical and traumatic incidents. AFA’s objective in providing these services is to enhance the health, safety and well-being of its union family with the highest quality of peer support available within the EAP industry.

Scheduling Committee Leslie Miller

The Scheduling Committee meets each quarter to provide input to management concerning trips and schedules.  Although individual trips are now being produced by the IBT (pilot's union), it is the responsibility of the Scheduling Committee to establish the bid line.

In determining bid lines, the Scheduling Committee attempts to keep lines consistent especially regarding days off, morning and afternoon trips, 2, 3, or 4 days trips, and many other factors.  However,  they must take into account Trip credit values, scheduling and marketing changes,  aircraft maintenance schedules, and holiday reductions when building lines.

For scheduling concerns please contact Leslie Miller, Chris Rodkey, or Lexie Graham.

Uniforms Shawna Cox

The Uniform Committee has established a relationship with management to assist in the development of a professional yet comfortable uniform.

This relationship is built on trust and open communication, however, per the CBA uniform issues and pieces can be added, modified, or removed without consultation with the AFA.

It is the committee's goal to provide feedback from the membership to management while educating our members in maintaining a professional uniform look.

The committee is more than happy to clarify or suggestion possible optional pieces to management as well.

Please contact the Uniform Committee if you have any suggestions, comments or concerns.
